Biography

I earned my high school diploma in mathematics and physics in June 1996 at Tehran. In the BSc National entrance exam of 1996, I was accepted for studding civil engineering in Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). The internship period in Tehran Heavy Steel Industries Company was one of my effective job experiences during this course. I graduated in 2000 with total GPA 16.45.

I began my MSc Studies from fall 2001 in Iran University of Science and Technology after passing the national entrance exam for MSc Courses. Considering the industrial occupations, I decided to have a relevant preparation; hence, I worked in the field of seismic evaluation & retrofitting of concrete structures as my MSc thesis under supervision of Dr. Morteza Zahedi.

In summer of 2002, I found opportunity to be employed in MAPNA Co., which is a leading Iranian industrial group. My cooperation with MAPNA Co. was continued until I lived in Tehran. The work experience in MAPNA is one of my valuable assets.

I was awarded first rank of MSc in Earthquake engineering of IUST in September 2003, and therefore I could start PhD Course in the civil engineering department of IUST from fall 2004. My PhD thesis lies at the intersection of optimization and structural mechanics under supervision of Prof. Ali Kaveh. I presented my thesis with rank A in fall 2009. Shortly thereafter I moved to Isfahan, and I got a job as a Isfahan university professor.
